Hmm... the new guy probably should keep his yap shut (since, y'know, nobody cares), but I've actually got my story roughed out for the next 8 months minimum (depending on filler/off-story strips).
Kind of simple, since it's basically just a dramatized/unorganized retelling of my life up until now, but I noticed that the more I wrote and changed things up, the less the story seemed dependent on how I remember the events I'm writing about. I'm actually kind of excited for the time where I have to start thinking more from the character's perspective and not from my own, but that's some serious spoiler alert territory.
Also, someone/many someones rated almost all of my current comics at a 5 my first night here. Pretty awesome, whoever that/they were.
Nah, not really, I'm actually pretty frellin' pleased to be here, it's just fun to play on that whole "mediocre" theme of mine!
Hey all, I'm J (or Jay, if you'd rather not contribute to the douchery of my going by a letter) and after unBELIEVABLE amounts of fighting with a certain other comic hosting/community which shall remain unnamed, the ease and friendliness of this place is extremely refreshing.
I'm a bit of an old-time web denizen (well, by internet standards of time) who spends FAR too much time watching movies and independent web-based content. I'm also pretty handy when it comes to the physical portion of computers, comes with years of working in electronics repair and PC diagnostics.
I don't really use any IM programs, nor do I participate in a whole lot of online communities (other than a few on Steam, where I'm pretty much a constant presence).
I've been reading comics for as long as I can remember, spent a few years working in advertisement design, and have been an avid artist/writer (more so on the latter, I love to write young adult short-stories) since I was old enough to lift a pencil.
