Micah:Nice to hear you got a website up, and that you're still drawing Transpose Operator. Definitely one of the best "serious" style comics I've seen on CF, if you don't mind my saying so. I will bookmark your site.

Thanks, that means a lot :) Knowing that people enjoy reading my comic always brightens my day. and I'm glad you're bookmarking it and you're on board for more Transpose Operator!

Kyo:
Roxy:@Robotwin.com I remember considering that at one point, but then I feel the readership would be divided :(
Also Kyo made it so my comic can't appear on the "All Time Popular" tab(Since I was no longer updating), so it kinda defeated any motivation I had in keeping pages on the CF site(not that it's about being popular it's just harder to find my comic now on CF). However I had been considering when I get a few chapters up on the main site, re-posting at least the 1st chapter, I do want to get more readership and mirrors may be one way to do that.
Your question actually made me want to make a thread concerning mirror sites, will edit with the link.
EDIT: link is HERE!

That was mostly cause it was taking up space in that tab without having any comics on it whatsoever (since you deleted all comics), not because you stopped updating. It was a reaction, not something preemptive. If you wish you start updating again, I will of course remove your front page ban. Just drop me a PM.

Ah yes, that is true. I suppose i should have specified. I just meant that since there were no longer any comics and I had stated that I would no longer be updating that it had been removed from the tab. I knew it was not a preemptive measure.

and If I do decided to mirror on CF I will let you know.

Robotwin.com:Here's my rough percentages of comics styles on ComicFury :

50% Cartoonish
3% Photographic
1% Golden Age
13% Manga
5% Sprite
11% Stickman/simple shapes
3.5% Furry
13.5% Other

I say mirror your comic here and don't worry about commenting if you don't have time. Whatever happened between you and Kyo is water under the bridge and no need to hold a grudge. It's not that hard to upload a page a week is it?

Interesting percentages! Where'd you get the data? Or is it just after being on the site for so long?

Haha, also, nothing really happened between me and Kyo. I understand why he did what he did, I wasn't updating so it made sense.

Unka John:I'd started on drunk duck then started posting my comic here as well when my favorite comic left drunk duck for comicfury. So you can all blame Mo.

Interesting what you'd heard "secondhand" because I'd been shopping around for a new home.

Are you still mirroring on Drunk Duck? What was it like working within that community?

MatthewJA:
Roxy:Places like SJ are mostly Manga inspired and a good portion of those are Yaoi

You speak the truth.

And yes, CF is much more accomodating for people like me.

Roxy:
In my case since Transpose Operator is "manga inspired" does it even fit on CF? Most of my attachment here is the community. And when you think about the ratio of styles of comics on Cf, "manga inspired" is deff a minority-but is that a bad thing, or a good thing? Does it make it something that gets more draw because of rarity? Or something that people stay away from because it's not what they generally read?

It's not a bad thing. Every comic can live on CF in harmony :D And hey, you never know who'll read a comic in the right spot.

that's one of the reasons why I didn't start out on SJ... it seems like you have to make a yaoi comic in order to be noticed there (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ which causes me to rage... but I suppose that goes with the territory...

and yes, I like how you stated that "Every comic can live on CF in harmony" :) on of the things I like so much about this community is that everyone is so supportive and positive, no one is really mean or "clique-y" to exclude people. I don't have a lot of experience with other comic hosting communities, but most of the things I hear second hand are about how different CF is in that respect.

@Magravan you know it! there's pages scheduled until the end of July, and I've been working harder to increase it further. I'm kinda super excited about it, not gonna lie.

@MatthewJA yeah, I feel like I'd have this problem too, it just takes up so much time(and these days I have precious little), and if I'm not going to religiously update it then is there a point? Cause if you don't care about your comic's updating schedule how can you expect other people to? Plus places like SJ are mostly Manga inspired and a good portion of those are Yaoi, so I can see why CF is a better fit for you, so in that case do you still feel it's worth it to post on SJ- a site that your style is less "popular" on?

@Sarge Staying in touch with people is a big part of comics, but even in the days when I was posting on CF it became hard for me to respond/keep up with comments. Making comic pages, jobs, life, etc take up so much time that I would not be able to keep up with multiple fan bases on multiple different sites. Plus if I'm talking about different things on different sites(regarding questions and comments), won't that alienate fans who are only on one site? I also don't want people to think that I don't appreciate their readership because I can't comment back or answer one person's question and not another.

@Magravan of course :) I figured this was the deal with most people from CF who decided to follow to the new domain, but I wasn't sure. I'll be looking out for you guys when chapter 2 rolls around :D

In talking about Transpose Operator Chapter 2, the question of Mirror sites came up. So I was wondering...

How do most people feel about "Mirror sites"?

Generally I've only heard negative connotations about it, i.e. some people think of it like "spamming" your comic on the internet.
My problem is time and spreading myself too thin(like divided readership)... but it's hard to generate interest without having your comic be accessible to more people...

Do any CF peeps mirror their comic on sites other than CF? And if so, what have your experiences been?

@Sarge Hey, no big deal! It was a lot easier for people to read it when it was on CF since they update/read other comics on the site, so I understand if it was harder to get around to checking it. However I do hope you check it out when you have the time! I'm super excited for chapter 2! Most of the cast were in identical suits for chapter 1 so we'll finally be able to see what all the character look like, it will be exciting :)

@MatthewJA lol, what? Was I popular? I guess I was #2 for a little while... haha :) and hello to you too! I wanted more control over my site and such, so getting my own domain was the only way to go! If you've got time you should go check it out :D

@Magravan glad to hear it! Btw, have you commented on the site before(it's no big deal if you haven't, just wondering)? not everyone has their same IDs as on CF so it's hard to tell which CF people transferred to reading on the main site :/ I miss being not being able to talk with all the CF people :( Although I'm very glad you're on Twitter! :D

Hey guys! Long time no see!
I hope it's okay for me to post about Transpose Operator here. I'm not updating to the comicfury site anymore, but I am still keeping it up, so hopefully this is okay :)

I just wanted to let anyone who may be interested know that Chapter 2 of Transpose Operator begins on the 28th of March. I had originally posted up until the end of Chapter 1 here on comicfury, so those of you that had been waiting for Chapter 2 to start will finally be able to see it!

in case you don't know where Transpose Operator transferred to, you can find it's new home here ---> http://www.transposeoperator.com/

If you have any questions or comments about update schedules or even the comic itself, just let me know! I'll be around catching up with all my favorite comicfury comics!

Just to notify everyone I have removed all the comic pages from Transpose Operator here on CF. I have left the Unique hits images and a few of the other pages, but now you can no longer read the comic here.

thanks again to everyone who commented and subscribed to Transpose Operator. You are all wonderful and amazing people and I hope to see you on the main site in the future!
