It amazes me how many here are "no nudity/sexiness/smut", but are o.k. with life-ending violence. I'm basically in the same camp by dint of my comic not being about romance/relationships/etc., but I still find it to be twisted that sex is more taboo than murder.

Witches, wizards, ghosts, and demons are real. They are mysteriously drawn to a strange city in the state of New York.

I'm not sure that I have a limit, but I do have 2 that are integral to the story. I'm not sure that a limit would serve the story rather than limit it.

I don't think an author can be wrong about what a work is intended to be about, but intentions are not reality. Some time ago someone kept posting on our comic that it was obviously about "othering" groups, and was contributing to intolerant nationalism/racism/etc. I realize that when an artist 'releases their work into the wild' as it were, they forfeit all rights to solely define what a work is about, what it means, or how to interpret it, but, unless a large group find the same meaning in a work of art, I don't think that a single individual opinion has higher validity than my own, the artist's, opinion.

Thanks. I'm back at home now, and the damage was actually minimal. It was barely a hurricane when it got here, and it only side-swiped us. Much better than the direct-hit, cat 3 hurricane that was predicted.

Fabian W.:That sounds outright terrifying... Does that mean that when you return, it may turn out that you are de facto homeless due to too much water damage?? In any case, good luck to you and Prof!

The most current models put the path of the hurricane directly over our house, so we may be homeless. It really depends on how much steam it loses getting there.

Mmm... institutional coffee in a hurricane shelter. Not good, but, surprisingly, not that bad. I give it a 6.

We are currently in a hurricane shelter, no bedding, no water. Our house is scheduled to be completely submerged day after tomorrow. Communication is spotty. Wish us luck.

I put salt on watermelon, and lime (or lemon if I have no lime) juice on honeydew. I love jalapeno jelly. I love baby spinach salad with enough vinegar to make it burn.

Travis:There was probably some Neanderthal complaining at one point that painting on animal skins was cheating, and that cave walls were the only true art.

I was just reading about how a large number of photographers said that the advent of the dry-plate process in the late 1870's made it "common", and "no longer art".
