Oh. What am I scared of. OH. Lots of things.

Realistic zombies, ghosts, clowns, whispers in the dark... basically anything you can find in a horror movie. I can't watch them at all. I would literally have a panic attack at this point in my life. But yeah. Tons of unnatural things scare me. I'm far from fearless and openly admit to that. I used to be better but stuff happened and now I can't handle much of anything at all in this sort of capacity if it closely resembles realistic graphics.

Thank you for the welcome back, folks! I'm feeling a good deal better now. Not perfect but better! It's great to be back and to talk to everyone once more!

I'm going to get lynched for this...

I don't have days where I can't draw at my usual level. I think it happened when I was working in a professional setting as a graphic designer. There were deadlines and bad days weren't really something that was allowed when it came to quality. It just sort of... transferred over to my art too. I work on it the same way and approach it with the exact same mindset: it gets done.

I left and now I've returned.

The story is long. It involves PTSD, a bad relationship, getting professional help and... eventually ending up writing this message. I didn't just want to come back: I NEEDED to come back. It was even suggested by a professional that I had to return to something I loved doing, and talking to people I like talking to. I like comics and I like all of you. So here I am.

This is too bad to hear. I feel bad for them. :( They seemed to have a good thing going there at first glance. Though money issues can be rough, I get that. It was an excellent concept though, all the same. Sad it didn't get off the ground financially. I mean, if finances were the underlying issue. Though I suspect they were.

Johnny- I know, right? I was really nice about it. :'D She assured it was mine but then I got her to check the ordering system and it wasn't mine. She had made me the next order I guess? It was very strange. Haha! I waited for my real order and we were cool after that.

Yes. I too do the Tim Hortons thing like all proud Canadians. Once I was there and the person serving me messed up my order so badly that it was as if they didn't even take my order. I wanted a hot chocolate and a grilled cheese panini. What they gave me was a French vanilla capucchino a size too small and a Tuscan chicken panini with a lot of onions. Noooooo. ;_;

I like all ze colours! 8D

Except puke green. That's gross. Because... it makes me think of puking.

Edit: Although, I don't mind the colour for the symbol. Most do use it. Purple might be nice too. A nice, gentle purple.

So. I just got off the toilet, actually. :B

But in all seriousness, what I hate the most is when someone uses the last of the toilet paper and DOESN'T REPLACE IT. Then you're stuck on the toilet contemplating how to get MORE without making a mess of yourself and it's just... ughhhhhh!!!!!

Replace what you use, yo!!!

This has been your public service announcement from your friendly ServerPanda.

As of right now I'm doing the volume cover and chapter cover system. For the volume cover I just do something cool to catch the reader's eye. For the chapter covers I do try to hint at something coming up in the chapter. Or show a prominent character or something simply important. It can change for me depending on what I think the cover needs. I don't like to make consecutive covers too alike (as in using the exact same characters), so that's why it can change up. That's harder at first, sometimes, but becomes easier as the chapters progress.

I've had a lot of false starts. A lot of them you folks have thankfully never had to see. Some, well... you have. Thankfully right now I have two comics I'm actually really happy with. The most recent is decently short outline wise so it won't take long to power through, and my bigger one just needs some changes to stuff that happens ahead in the outlines-- not in previous parts of the story. Then I can get that ship sailing again too! :)

Older works were an absolute exercise in futility. I may revisit an olde concept at some point once these ones are complete, but that depends on if I can work it around so it can be built into a functional comic.

Edit: I think my reasons for stopping were justified in all cases. Either they were not working out plot wise or I had become miserable trying to fix it and so could not bring myself to keep torturing my creativity. :'D

I use it as well, though sparingly. My style doesn't require a lot of it, but it does require a small amount in shadowed areas. :) I work entirely traditionally so it suits my style well to have it.

I'll use dynamic panels, sure! As long as the story remains easy to read, it's free game to me. :) The latest comic plays more with layout than my previous one and I find I do enjoy that. I used to play with panels a lot when I worked digitally. Now I can't for health reasons, it has taken me a while to get back to where I used to be and even surpass it. But now I'm happy with where I am and comfortable enough to play with layout again and make it a bit interesting. There's nothing wrong with making the layout itself part of the story as long as it is done correctly and so the readers aren't confused.

keiiii:I never made a conscious attempt to "develop my style." All I tried to do was to get better at drawing the things I liked drawing, in ways I liked to draw/color.

This did include emulating my favorite artists, but again, there was no conscious "I'm going to take a bit each from artists A, B and C, and apply it to make my own style!" I just drew how I wanted things to look like, to the best of my abilities

This is also me! My exact answer in every way possible!
