I like to sample from photos too. It's the easiest way to brainstorm a color palette.

I learned color theory using traditional paint medium. It took me a while to figure out how to color digitally. I had to start from painting black and white values and then add color.

My worry lately is in regards to people with color blindness. I know I've used a poor combination of colors a few times without thought of values. Which would be annoying to some people with various types color blindness.

In those cases I tell myself I'll eventually go back at a later date and fix those pages.

Feel like I should have taken the create the successful thing that I hate for my comic. One of my many struggles with my comic is the fact that it takes a lot of time that I don't often have. If I had been more strategic, I could have settled on a style and theme that could have been more attractive to a larger audience and faster to make.

The most I can do now is finish what I started and move on to the next idea.

I have a bachelor's in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Engineering management. I thought I would be "world building" in real life. I had actually wanted to go to art school to make game backgrounds but couldn't afford it.

I'm still in the stage of the experiment with advertising my comic. I have used ComicAd but it didn't work out for me. I spent more money vs the traffic I received. I even tried hiring someone for a small fee to help with SEO (I didn't get genuine readers). I'm on social media and I get some readers in the past from Tiktok but the site messes with my mental health and I decided it wasn't worth it. The majority of my traffic is from within Comicfury. Now I'm using google targeted ads. I've been getting a little bit of traffic with a low bounce rate from the Ibis Paint mobile app, Medibang Paint app, and a couple of small games. I don't let google decide for me where to send the ads to stay within budget and study who reads my comic.

I have Clip Studio Paint EX and I can confirm that their lettering tools are very minimal. I've been learning how to letter in Affinity Designer to have more creativity and live spell checking.

Strawberry Vodka Cake is about old ladies getting drunk at tea time and telling raunchy stories about their youth.

1.Emory is intersex and Crystal is asexual romantic.

2.The entire style of the art is supposed to be a reflection of Crystal's state of mind and changing thoughts and perspectives. But it's become my mad art project to just experiment with different styles.

Oh no that's horrible. Did you try contacting them via their business portal/customer service side? They used to have an email or chat available there.

I love historical and modern fantasy with cute characters. With modern fantasy, I really love slice of life. With historical I like romances and epic stories.

I'm trying to decide if I should finish my comic or develop something else. The reason I'm at this stage isn't because I hate working on this comic but I've reached a point where I've accepted that I don't have the time to produce it at the same quality and consistently to progress the story at a pace to gain an audience. I've been updating at 1 page per month.

I honestly don't know what I should do. Stop or continue at the snail pace?

Anyways before I develop something else I want to know what you like about it and what I could have improved story wise. Please don't exclusively critique the art because I've been working in this comic since 2018 and the art style has changed multiple times and I'm still not confident in my style because I'm a slow artist. Anyways here it is.

Merged Doublepost:

I'm so indecisive! I'm going to work on this some more. I'm going to close this post until I make up my mind.
