That's a good idea. I'm going to add a link to my author post when I update.

I use Clip Studio Paint, ArtRage, and sometimes Rebelle. I bounce between an old Huion monitor, a surface pro, Galaxy note and pencil n paper. It all depends on where I am drawing. If I'm at home I'm on the desktop if I'm out of the home I use whatever I remember to take with me.

Good luck to those that apply this year.

I tried last year and didn't make it. I think it has to do with my sporadic update schedule. And the fact that my webcomic's is a little experimental and unrefined.

I agree with what everyone mentioned. Study your favorite comic and focus on action beats of the fight. These are some articles and videos that might be helpful.

I'm going to try and stay within the topic of the original post. I think it's a great idea but I won't be able to participate. I'm having a baby in July and won't be able to dedicate my time to a big campaign. But I am all for trying to create a ( maybe viral) hashtag we all can use to promote our work and anything else in the webcomic community.

jamanning7:False hope- Life rarely has shortcuts.

Meanwhile at the castle, musicians play some music.

The art is simple and straight to the point. I like the use of the four panels at the bottom.

Here is mine. "Some conversations don't go well" I played around with more colors for mood and feeling. I hope it came across ok.

I deleted my account on DeviantArt 7 years ago. I moved all of my garbage art to my social media accounts and anything I feel of quality ends up on Artstation. I used to be really active in the groups but they started tinkering with the UI and all of the artist I used to follow migrated elsewhere.

Panda Cop:To get the thumbnails you need account activation with phone numbers and stuff and downloading a seperate app. Which i wont be doing sorry folks.

But this was more about the concept itself than trying to make the best videos. I am sure there is someone on CF who could make better videos than me and should probably give it a try.

Some actual review points here on some things i have noticed

Hand drawn letters can convey more personaloty and emotion but are often more difficult to read.

Some people try to cram too many words into a small speech bubble. This can be read but it takes longer and is more difficult making it less enjoyable.

If there is a young reader who is still learning or just someone who cannot read well they may find reading comics like this less enjoyable and lose interest.

For me if i am interested i will just deal with it so it wont completely put me off reading.

But i think a sweet spot has to be found between having interesting lettering that isnt the same arial black all the time (which i almost always use myself just because it is easy to read) and somthing which is easy to read without strain.

Also i personally find the "classic" comic lettering for like superhero mags to be terrible. The straight lines on all the sides make too many letters look to similar and it often looks like an "i" is stuck to the side of the letter.

Another point is people who go the extra mile of having a customized website. Some of these i find easier to use and more relaxing. This point of ease of use i think is more important than making it look flashy. If it looks better but is more difficult to use i think it is worse.

But some of you have found a sweet spot of having a better looking page which is also easy to use and this makes the comic look like 10x more professional to me.

What you say about lettering is true. I struggle with lettering. I've had people letter my comic because I'm so intimidated by it. To this day though I still can't decide on a font.

Oh, I saw the other comic reviews. Good job. Like everyone said you really have a nice voice.

Have you tried OneNote? It can do some of the things you are suggesting.

I currently just print out my script. Mark it up with a pencil or pen in a binder. I use blank paper for scribbles of ideas and sketches. As for references, such as photos, I use Pinterest.

This is great. I subscribed. I really like how short your videos are and the way you speak positively about each webcomic.

I'm looking forward to discovering more webcomics from your channel.

I get how you feel sometimes. It's like when people see my comic and think I do it traditionally. Then I tell them that it's all digital. Sometimes I see a very surprised and impressed look or the question of why is it digital?

In the end I have to explain that digital it is faster then waiting on real watercolors to dry.

Do what you need to do to get things done. And focus on what will give you and hopefully your readers joy.

I agree. I remember struggling with trying to get emotions into my characters and overall comic page. Now, it's something that I feel I've technically improved a lot on. Inking is another area I feel I have made a some progress in style.

I have further to go but so far I like the pace of my improvement since I started.
