You're welcome! The reason I suggested changing the color was actually to fix an issue I saw on desktop. Since the background color for the blurry section matches the regular section, it looks like it sort of disappears after a point when you're scrolling.

It is possible to make different mobile layouts, though it might take a bit of restructuring for your CSS/HTML. What you'll use is media queries, which allow you to change the look of the layout based on things like how wide the browser window is. On my site, I have things that look a certain way if the window is larger than 800px wide for desktop, and smaller than 800px for mobile.

For example, you could tack this on to the bottom of your CSS to remove the background image when the window is smaller than 800px.
@media (max-width: 800px;) {

  body {
     background-image: none;
  }

}

The site appears to be working properly on my phone (iPhone, using Safari). The background shows up, anyway.

Since mobile doesn't support fixed images, the blurry image used for the comments section is aligned to the bottom of the screen. If the non-blurry background image actually shows up on your phone, it will still match since it will also be aligned to the bottom.

One possibility is that the background image just isn't loading. It is a pretty large image (1500x600ish) and isn't very efficient since you're having to load both the blurred and regular version. You would probably be better off making a tiled background that just repeats about 1/3 of that horizontally. Either that or it could be something weird with your device/browser. What are you using?

I'm a little confused as to why you say the comments section is showing the wrong part of the blurred image. What are you wanting the site to look like on mobile?

EDIT:
To fix a bit of the weirdness with the blurry sections, you should probably change the #title and #contentwrap CSS to something like background-color: #ADD2E4 to match the rest of the image

Yep! That does it.

@Taily if you do what Moth said with 25px instead of 10 and throw in padding: 10px; to .commentdata it should match up with the rest of your site.

Taily:I've been trying for a looong time to get my comment boxes to be rounded, but I've never gotten it to work. The most that I've accomplished is getting a rounded box to be... somehow overlaid on the sharp-edged one, in a really ugly way. Have you had success with that before? I hardcore crave rounded comment boxes.

Ohh yeah I forgot about the double boxes.
I did have rounded edges on mine at one point, but I forget the specifics of what I had to break to make that work :'D

I really like the vibe you're going for!

A few thoughts:
- The background is a little distracting compared to the comic page. You could try lowering the opacity of the background image a bit and see if that helps? Or give the comic box some more padding to give the art some breathing room. Definitely want the main focus to be your comics.
- The main navigation menu is a little distracting? The buttons have more detail than the comic title and take a way from that a bit, so personally I think they'd be better sans backgrounds.
- I like the comic navigation arrows!
- Maybe give the comment boxes round edges to match the rest of the site.
- For the 'Post a Comment' button, it appears the 'onmouseout' image is broken in your HTML, while the 'onmouseover' image works just fine. Is the file named correctly? Sometimes reuploading under the same file name can break things, too.
- The only other thing I might change is making the sections like navigation, comments, footer, etc. the same width. They look a little broken up when they're all different sizes.

Overall, I like where you're going with the redesign. I think it's an improvement over the original~

Was super uninspired for a username when I first joined, so for the longest time it was just my initials. Came up with this later on.

I'm a huge Nikola Tesla nerd... so I mashed that together with "Averian", which is the last name of a character who shows up in the latter portion of my comic. Teslaverian had like zero results on google, so that was that :P

Like Gaia said, head tilt can be a good indicator, plus overall body language. People tend to look up and away when rolling their eyes, turning their head a bit in the direction they're looking.

Action scenes are hard but it should be a fun challenge :D

One cool thing that my DM suggested at the beginning of our (so far 2 1/2 year) campaign was to have each player come up with a secret that their character keeps from the rest of the party.
Then, on his end, he comes up with at least one thing that the character doesn't know about themselves. It's led to a lot of really cool revelations since a lot of the secrets have been interconnected, but also a lot of drama because he enjoys causing our characters emotional pain.

My friend tossed a few things together this weekend and it's my new favorite...
You start with a bit of vodka, then fill 2/3 of the glass with unflavored aloe drink, the rest with ginger ale, add a bunch of lime and it's amazing

Other than that my favorite mixed drinks are usually mojitos (love them), followed by peach bellini or rum & coke. Non-mixed would be hard apple/pineapple cider. I haven't been over 21 for very long either so I'm still trying stuff out :P

Yesss conlangs :D

@toherrys I loved the hints of elven/northern language in your comic! Adds a lot of depth to the world.

I've been working on this one for several years now, and it'll be the main alien language in my comic. It's actually just regular English in the weird writing system because I don't have the time/patience to make up the whole language, but oh well. For the time being it's nicknamed 'circuitry' until I come up with something better.

image
I have way too much fun with this xD

There's also more of a magic/runic language that I'm working on but it's not done yet~

junoro:and showed them What We Do in the Shadows, a FANTASTIC New Zealand vampire movie that everyone should watch! 8)

That movie is the best xD

This was like the most uneventful Halloween yet. I went to class, got groceries, took a nap, and am now in the process of pulling an all-nighter to finish my art homework ;-;
I did go to a party on Friday though so I guess that sort of counts?
