Well, I suppose I won't be super active, but it's been a while since I drew other people's OCs and whatnot, so it might be fun. You can count me in! Don't have a ton of truly original characters, but I can scrounge up a few here and there. These references are sloppy and meant mainly for personal use so I recommend looking through my comic for additional references. I'll say where they show up the most:
My nameless Self-Insert:
Miku and Haruki (they're in every chapter lol, the more recent depictions are better to look at)
Team Skull + Cinaed (Chapter 1, but Cinead hasn't shown up in the story yet)
Kenta and Aimi (Haruki's parents, look in chapter 4)
Isamu the thief (briefly appears at the end of chapter 3)
When uploading my comic to this site, I started with chapter 3, just because most of my fans were migrating and I didn't want to take too long to upload all the preceding pages, especially when I didn't have most of them ready for uploading. Now, I've started to add those pages in. One problem though. No matter how I try to organize the chapters, the Prologue pages I added come after the Chapter 3 pages! It's so infuriating! I can't change the numbers they've been marked with, which seems to determine the page order. Please tell me there's some easy way to fix this...
EDIT: I found out that I can fix it by changing the release date. That's good to know! But is there any way to change that? It would be easier if I didn't have to worry about altering the release date.
Kyo:deviantart URLs are not going to work, they specifically designed their URLs to expire after a short while. The warning you got basically just means that the file you're externally linking should end in ".png" or ".jpg" or something along those lines.
Personally, I would not recommend hosting the images externally if you can avoid it, since every now and again, someone's entire archive suddenly breaks because the site they were hosting the images with changed their URLs. I'm surprised you're running into issues with the 5mb limit, how big are your pages usually in terms of file size?
Ah, I think I see the issue now. Most of my modern pages are below 3MB, but my cover, which I was trying to upload, goes barely over 5MB, which I did not realize. It seems like I shouldn't have issues with the rest of chapter 3. My previous chapters though... well to be fair they really needed to be smaller to begin with. I don't think I should have any more issues! Thank you!
I tried to do that, but I got an error message saying the format wasn't valid. It said "Error!: The file extension of the comic you are trying to put up is not allowed! The file extension is the stuff after the period in the file name. If you cannot see any periods in your file name, you may need to disable hiding file extensions in your folder options." Any idea what this might mean?
Aww thank you, everyone! I wish I didn't have to compress my images on this site, one of the reasons I left smackjeeves was because my pages wouldn't fit anymore. I still have to compress them here, but at least it's functional!
