speedlines when shrunk down can make an image look blurry. try removing them and see if that helps.

ive never minded this, and everytime someone had done it, i made it a point to read their entire comic and any extras they have. If i like it I sub. i mean, why not?

(to be fair if someone does this it is usually through pm and it has been awhile since i dont update my comic even though i still draw for it)

none.

i feel that buzzwords are meaningless without certain passions behind them. any word could be derogatory if used in such a way.

I also accept the fact that just because someone says something that i deem bad, or hurts my feelings doesn't mean that is the way they meant it. For instance at my old job i tried to remain professional with all of our customers. which included not flirting with the pretty girls that would come in. Eventually women stopped flirting with me, after about a year ( 4 months after me and a long time girlfriend broke up) I found out that everyone thought i was gay.

there's nothing wrong with being gay, and when i found out people thought i was, i just laughed it off. I didn't feel like it was a big deal. A couple hours later; a girl that i had a very big crush on and was trying to work out the courage to ask her to dinner came into my store. She said,"what's up girlfriend" and that upset me. I felt like she had judged me in a way that meant she could never like me. That she was part of this big group that thought i was gay. I must have seemed upset because i felt that she felt bad about saying it even though i didnt react to it externally.

Because it had become a buzzword to me (temporarily) i didn't think of her association with the words she was using outside of a context that she had NO IDEA was going on. she didn't know people wrongly thought I was gay. All she knew was that she was my friend and she was being friendly. She was a good person who just so happened to use a phrase that made me feel uncomfortable. It happens. people dont know what hurts you until they metaphorically put their hands on one of your wounds while being intimate with you.

Words only hurt, because you let them hurt

in a story i used band titles as slurs. The doors, Metalicca, Aerosmith, Led Zepellin, the who, grateful dead, beach boys, blondie, smallhat, badfinger, and many many more. some were self explanatory but others had to be described.

I also for no discernible reason like the words, dragon, gold, blue, hope, faith, and fight. I tend to use these words more than others in stories.

first answer, yes it does look like you have spent a significant amount of time on this (look up aaron blaise on youtube he can provide you shortcuts that you might like. hes a disney artist)

second answer, no i probably would not pay 180$ for that. I engage from time to time in commercial art. I make business cards, restaurant menus, posters ect. and I charge 10$ an hour (minimum 60$ )

part of being an artist is the speed of which you complete your work. If anything i would have thought you spend about 14 hours on this just with the small details of shading. I can visually see all the hard work you are putting into this. The average consumer would not though.

do you use photoshop? add blend layers and your own photography into the mix. you could shave off 6 hours, maybe more.

Blend layers can mimic shading without any extra hard work. you simply add a layer and change the mode to darken/color burn/ ect (depending on the kind of shading you are doing and change your opacity to 50% and then choose a shading brush along with grey or black and boom. 15 minute shading instead of 3 to 5 hours.

always be improving.

These drawings took me about 3 hours to do a piece (hooray profit!) I removed his personal information from them though, but you can see the design. keep in mind these are meant to be 2 inches wide

i thought this was a joke lol

hey if he's not hurting anyone just ignore it. maybe he's looking for attention? maybe he actually believes it, but if you make it clear through total passive aggressiveness that you don't like it, he will stop doing it.

just like training your friend to stop talking about his ex girlfriend. you listen about it, but you roll your eyes and just do that "i'm uncomfortable" smile and say "oh hey i gotta go" when he starts ranting.

i dont really draw inspiration from anything personally. although my favorite artist is yusuke murata.

i'm usually told my art is kinda anime, or disney, or disney mixed with anime. *shrugs

most people see what they want to see. so it doesnt matter to me to much.

I sub to anyone i actually read. or if i just enjoyed that persons work so far. or just to support the artist. I know that for some it means alot.

honestly if someone wants me to just read their comic, i am always down for it. I don't ever have a negative opinion on one tbh, i just enjoy the art form.

also... there are so many people that end up on hiatus due to personal problems, money issues, illness, ect... i sub to them in hope that they will return one day.

probably not, but anything that helps you refine your work is worth a try. you may find you really like to do the planning before you draw.

all in all, anything that doesn't hurt you is worth a chance.

its all about forcing people to like you, and keeping in their face. I'm a great hype man, i had 450 like on fb last i checked. thats pretty good for a comic with no story yet or anything really good about it at all.

just stay active with the people.

i have worked 10 hours a day everry single day for the last year and a half im beyond exausted. im no closer to a promotion and about 9 months ago my long term girlfriend (about 8 years) broke up with me and revealed that she's been cheating on me the whole time.

i finally get the courage to ask a girl out after being torn down and one of my coworkers steam rolls me. he has a girlfriend and several fuck buddies but apparently me liking a girl that he wants to bang is out of the question. he tells her that im having sex with like 10 different women (and shit i haven't even been laid in a year) and now she refuses to talk to me.

i dont really know what to do with myself anymore. hell i feel like i was happier when i was homeless...

i used to charge a pretty decent amount but that was before i got a decently paying job that also took alot of my time away. now i do it for free as long as i have the time.

i have a list of prices and variations on my comics site, but as i said i do it for free now. (unless someone specifically wants to pay me)
