I'm guessing robots can pronounce his name, then; should be The-RUHN. Right?

I guess it depends on how the robot communicates. ;) For the "humanized" version, I think I didn't explain super well. It's closer to thuh-REN.

The pronunciation of one main character's name in my comic has evolved a lot since I created it. Initially The'rhn was pronounced "theren" or "theron" (like Charlize Theron, basically), with the stress on the "Th." Later, when I retconned the apostrophes in the Troodon dinosaurs' language to indicate where the stress in the word should be, the pronunciation became "the-REN" or "thuh-REN" (short u sound, as in "uh," stress on the "r").

In actuality based on the rules of the language, humans physically can't pronounce his name. The "rhn" syllable is a growling or purring noise made in the dinosaur's throat. But that's not at all practical for people reading it.

Result in thread: Feedback on color pages

Awesome guys, thanks! Still mulling this over/stumbling through it.

TanteiSakana - Yeah, done with watercolor markers, water and brushes. Everything you said is pretty spot on in regards to busyness and readability, and I'm working on it. The line art at this point is now more than two years old (!!) I think. I think I'm getting better (gradually, or probably marginally), so I wanted to start with colors right at the beginning so that the line art and color improve congruently with each other. Theoretically, anyway.

Hey guys, I'm experimenting with coloring my comic, The Wounding Tooth (finally), and am looking for some feedback. Not necessarily a full-on critique (although that's welcomed too if you like), but more along the lines of, do you prefer this or the black-and-white version? I have like 70 something pages up in b&w so far and I've heard from some of my readers that they're pretty attached to that. I'm kind of attached to it too -- I like the old-school Ninja Turtle-y vibe. I guess this is what I get for launching without color. I'm also aware that most people seem to prefer color in other comics. So ...

Do you have a preference for b&w or color? Should I replace the b&w pages with the color pages, or leave the b&w and upload the color alongside it? Would I need a new comic site to do that? Not really a fan of having two sites for the same comic (I'm confused enough with one).

Or maybe I just need validation. Love me, admire me, validate me!!

Anywho. Here's two samples in b&w and color, spoilered. Thanks to yous in advance!
