Thank you so much, Johnny V! It looks perfect! Is it okay if I put this on my webcomic's website's related art section? I'll credit you and put a link to your profile, and comic!

Hi! In this thread we'll be posting about which Comic Book Character you look up to, or inspires you! It can be any comic book character whether they're from comic strips, comic books, or manga!

Personally, I really look up to Spider-Man, his motto "With Great Power, there must also come Great Responsibility." Is something I personally live by. It's even in my signature! Every time I face a problem or a tough decision in life I always go back to this motto, and I know I've made the right decision, because it would have been the selfless and responsible thing to do.

What about you guys? Who do you look up to or get inspired by and why?

This thread is so awesome!

H.I.T Trivia #1:

This is my first comic/webcomic about a superhero without any powers! I actually choose this to be my first webcomic for that specific reason, it's gonna be different, and challenging because up to now I've been mostly writing about superheroes with great power, and the great responsibilities they are burdened with. So I thought, how's a superhero with no power gonna handle the great responsibility that comes with the job?

My comic's actually perfect for a multiverse! Whenever I make a new comic, or whenever I write a story I always think of all of them being connected in a big multiverse. So I'm actually really excited to see if this goes anywhere. My comic "Heroes in Training" will actually be doing a Multiverse Story Arc in the future, so if we can setup a Multiverse that would be just awesome!

I usually start my character creation with a central theme, or rather the core of the character. However sometimes a character just pops into my head when I see something interesting, or when I'm just thinking of random things. Other times I just think of names and imagine what kind of person or creature would be called this.

Here's a rundown of what I do during Character Creation:

1. When I think of a character, I usually think of what do they embody, or represent, or what they are fighting for. Ex. Fire, Justice, Hope.
2. Then I chose a personality that either fits well with the first step or goes agaisnt it. Ex. A pyrokinetic superhero who has an energetic personality, or a careful and cautious individual with the ability to break the speed of sound.
3. Then I start to design how the character looks, their race, their body type, and what clothes they wear based on what role they fit into. Ex. Cryokinetic superhero? I'll give him spiky light blue hair and a figure skater type costume with ice armor on it. Different situations, personalities, origin stories, and where/when/how they get their costumes/armor/clothes also affect my costume choices.
4. Then I'll give them their color scheme. This mostly depends on what story their going to be in is about, and their own personalities. Ex. A bright color scheme for a story with a lighter tone, and a more saturated or darker color scheme for a story with a darker tone. Characters with lighter color schemes in a darker story, and vice versa are also things I consider.
5. And finally I give them their real name, and nickname/superhero name/codename. Ex. My Character Tom is all about fighting the good fight and doing what's right, so I gave him the name Battle Boy. One of my friends asked me to come up with names for a team of villains he made based on the six senses; the one based on touch could mimic elements when he comes into contact with them. I named him Compound Chameleon.

I'll post a few pictures of my concept art later.

xD, that was really funny. You have a really good art style, and your comic looks very interesting. You also did a really good job on the cross-hatching and shading!

The Mall Cops have finally come, but it looks like Battle Boy's also in trouble!

I'd like to enter in Battle Boy from Heroes in Training!!!! I'm entering him into the contest just to see how far he could go. He doesn't have any superpowers so it would be interesting for me to see how he fares agaisnt the other characters here on Comicfury; And since my comic's fairly new and it's a third of the way through it's first issue, I'll put his stats in this post aswell.

Battle Boy A.K.A Tom
- Height: 5ft 7"
- Weight: 64 kg
- IQ Level: 147
- Resourceful in Combat
- Has a Yellow Belt in Taekwando
- Great Tactitian
- Prefers to outwit an opponent, or trap them, rather than to overpower them with strenght and brutality.
- No real fight experience aside from a few skirmishes before becoming a Superhero.
- Loves to draw
- Impulsive
- Won't give up when he thinks he's right.
- High Pain Tolerance

You have an amazing art style! Nice Job on the colors and shading. You also did a good job on keeping what's going on in the scene clear. The writing is also good, it helps keep the serious tone of the scene while still putting in a little comedy.

-----------

Battle Boy catches up to The Thief with a rather uncoventional method.

Ok, then count me in! My comic's called Heroes in Training! It's just new so I've only introduced one character, and he doesn't even have his main costume yet; his name is Tom, and his superhero identity is Battle Boy. He's the guy in the blue hoodie that the comic follows. Edit: Whoops, forgot to type this part xD. My comic has no flags, and preferably I'd like to do an art exchange with a comic that also has no flags.

You have an awesome comic Amphurious01! The Art Style is great, the writing feels natural, and I like the designs of the characters and the Kreaturez. You also did a great job of showing the characters' personalities through their dialouge. I'm definitely going to read more of it later!

My comic's newest page is about Battle Boy trying to stop a thief from getting away.

I would like to join but first I want to know if we're just drawing one page to show the AU or more than one? If it's just one page then I could join, but if it's not, well I'm still excited to see what everyone comes up with anyway.
