Hi

KAM here. Another refugee from Drunk Duck.

My comic is The KAMics. It's a generic, punny, catch-all title because it has a number of random comics as well as some series that I occasionally do.

Because I had almost 1400 comics I decided to put up around 20 a day until I get to the present day so as not to scare off those people afraid of huge archives.

The earliest comics deal with the hobby of rockhounding because I've done comics for my rock & mineral club newsletter, more or less regularly since 1988, by the time the archives reach 2004 it becomes more varied in types of jokes & art styles as that's when I started The KAMics over on the inebriated waterfowl.

Have a nice day!

The archives have finally got to the point where I started a webcomic and branched out from jokes about rockhounding and getting back to hand drawing instead of just pixel art.

My archives have finally reached 1000 pages.

What a perfect time for an archive binge. ;-)

My archives have reached 1200 comics.

If anyone cares, the mass uploads will stop on December 3 and after that it will be one update a day until I catch up with the current comics on my Drunk Duck site.

My archives have hit 1300 comics...

and only one reader comment.

If it weren't for the stats I would assume no one was reading.

There is a video interview with me up, if anyone is interested.

Also I filmed myself drawing this comic and the video can be found here.

Edit: And the site felt those videos violated their "No advertising" rule, so they're gone.

There's a video interview of me about my webcomic. (Originally filmed in, I think, 2009 so some information is dated.)

There's also a video of me drawing one of my comics.

I probably should post to this thread more frequently than I do.

Anyway The KAMics has reached 1525 pages, although the most recent might be NSFW, so be warned.

The KAMics has 1540 pages (I'm going to try to update this thread every 10 pages now).

It's another photo comic (I think I suffered artistic burnout this year and it's been tough forcing myself to sit and draw, hence the recent photo comics) although Friday's was drawn on the computer.

Another 10 pages, comic 1550 is up.

Starting to get the hang of the new art programs I'm using so next week will have hand-drawn comics instead of the photocomics I've been doing.

Comic 1560 is up.

While I do have a new computer (obviously), I can't get it to recognize my drawing tablet, and I'm having trouble loading art programs onto it.

A smart person might recognize all this as the universe trying to tell me something, but I'm an artist and therefore have no brains to figure it out.

Comic 1570 is finally up.

Took long enough.

Well, the good news is that this, and the next few weeks, should be back to Monday-Wednesday-Friday updates, assuming the universe doesn't throw any more monkey wrenches at my life.

Aaaaaaaaand another 10 pages have elapsed... The KAMics is now at 1580.

It's also in the middle of a special series, inspired by Garfield Minus Garfield, The KAMics Minus The Readers, er, I mean Gertrude & Brunhilda Minus Gertrude.

Some of the strips are surreal, some might actually be funny. Come find out! :-)
