I was planning this Friday's comic where we will see a room of pictures of Gertrude done in the three weeks that she had been queen. I was trying to think of various styles to use to give the illusion of them being done by different artists when it dawned on me that maybe I should ask different artists to draw Queen Gertrude. (Using different artists to give the illusion of different artists? Wow! That's so crazy it just might work!)

Bad news first. There is no money, the only things I can offer is thanks and free advertising.

Anyone still reading?

The deadline to appear in this Friday's comic is Wednesday, but they will be in the room for the next few updates, so if you can't make Wednesday there will be other opportunities.

If you choose to draw her, post the pic here, tell me what name you want to be credited under and a link to your comic or art site.

The pics will probably be shrunk down to appear in the comic, but I will put the full size ones on my Fanart page.

I will post the names of the artists and their links under the comic where the art is used, on the fanart page with their pics and, if I ever get around to publishing it, in the book version.

Gertrude is the blonde in the pic.

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.

I'll grab the third slot!

Quick question: Should they all be her in that particular outfit, or should she have differing outfits?

I did the thing.
I was going for a noble look but I think she came off sadly confused. Hope you like.

And here is mine! I tried to color it in a way that it looks slightly painting-ish.

Cooke, very nice, thank you.

Fabian W., good job, nice 'brushwork', thank you.

Bobblit, looks like you succeeded, nice job, thank you.

Jammy, it's quite all right, like the shadowy, watercolory effect you gave it, thank you.

Spaces, very good, thank you.

:-D

Should I just use your Comic Fury names and comic links, or did any of you want some other name or link?

Thank you all again. :-)

Is that actual oil pastels or is that done in a digital program?
I really like the effect.

Thanks! It was done in Photoshop with various textured brushes I've found here and there.
