What is the current thing everybody who knows you has had to hear about nonstop this week? Share with the class!

I am currently utterly in love with The Arcana. My GF is super into dating sim apps, but as much as I appreciate looking at hot people, I don't like having pretend people be in love with me. But there's tarot themes and a great murder mystery and all the characters are utter garbage. I am just. Having so much fun. The art's really lovely too, and I even got to use they pronouns. Also there's a plague! More dating sims should have plagues.
I really like how the routes build each other. They all follow the same chain of events, but offer a distinct perspective and new information to solve the mystery. You can date Asra and learn about the magic, Nadia and get into the court intrigue, or Julian and just.... end up in the middle of every possible mess.

Anyways, what are you into these days? Doesn't have to be a story! Maybe you're really into learning about ancient Egypt or making paper fortune tellers! Maybe you're all about your new cat or the London Torso murders! Tell me about it!

I really want to learn how to make my own ice cream. Ever since I started making my own sauce, then bread, then baked goods, it changed my life. I want to learn to do other things for myself.

I've picked up the ukulele. What I really wanted to learn to play the guitar, but it's kinda hard to lug that around. A ukulele on the other hand is small enough to take anywhere. My next step is to get a "real" ukulele, 'cause right now I've got a cheap $20 one that sounds terrible, gets out of tune in minutes, and I can't bar chords on it at all.

The ukulele is so underrated. I always found it cute. Plus, it reminds me of Hawaii so I can't help, but like it.

I found a gas powered weedwacker on the side of the road (its a Vermont thing: free stuff!). Ordered some parts and it runs like a dream.
Also plan to use it in the proof-of-concept for my power armor module.

I'm a fan of the harmonica, Super portable and cool. I learned a couple blues riffs, but that was about it.

Now I'm mainly into Heroclix. A fun way to get out of the house and socialize with some nerds. like chess with Super heroes. there's also Star Trek, Lord of the rings, Ninja turtles, and some other franchises in the mix.

And just last weekend I started a D&D Game, and my son is playing with us!! his first RPG ever. He's turning 10 next month, and he seemed to have a good time. He made a Halfling thief named Bob with a riding dog named Jake(he may watch too much adventure time).

Once I reach a certain point in Inner Dialogue, I'm thinking of starting a writing project consisting of a bunch of semi-related short stories. I have no idea if I can pull it off, but it's all I can think about right now.

Ooooh, DIY jewellery! I love that. That reminds me. Maybe I should take up, DIY cleaning my dry cleaning. I heard there is a way to do it yourself though it's not quite dry cleaning. You hand wash.

Scott's 1910–1913 British Antarctic Expedition.
Everyone I trust with my weird obsessions has been getting an earful about this for the past few months :D

A while ago I got a copy of The Worst Journey in the World, a memoir by the fabulously-named Apsley Cherry-Garrard, a member of the expedition. Since then I've become slightly besotted with this incredible group of people who went through so much in the name of science, discovery and comradeship. I've ended up going on to read lots more books about them.

Funnily enough the one thing I haven't read is Scott's famous diary. I don't think my interest is particularly tied to the deaths of him and the four other men he took on the final push to the pole. They were there for three years and did so much, that feels like a sad coda to the "real" adventure. I'm sure I'll get around to it one day.

The musical Hamilton, I'm going to see it in London tomorrow, I'm gonna buy a ton of merch! XD
But I'm also pretty obsessed with the tv show Gotham, more specifically, the two characters Penguin and Ed.
And I'm still really obsessed with Gravity Falls too.

Ooh, yeah, that's a pretty good weird obsession. Most of the Antarctic explorations were interesting but that was a highlight. I only spent a week or so on my Antarctic binge, though.

Recently, I've been diving into the technical workings of older consoles and 8-bit microcomputers. NTSC color artifacting, semigraphics modes, indexed color palettes, sprite transform engines, hblank, vblank, tilemap formats, all kinds of super-nerdy details.

There may or may not be an underlying motive.

Right now, I've gone on a kick of trying to track down and watch some shows I used to watch when I was a little kid and see how well they hold up (or to just have some nostalgia flashbacks). I'm working my way through the classic Muppet Babies show---it's still just as entertaining, I think. If I had kids, I'd let them watch it. :)

I just binge watched the entire latest season of Buzzfeed Unsolved instead of you know.. doing anything productive :'). I'm normally a total wuss at anything remotely scary but the hosts are just so great. I definitely recommend.

I also just discovered H Mart (never lived near one in my life before this summer). The sweets that are available there are totally my newest obsession. Dangerous for both wallet and waistline.
