I have something real quick question? Where's a casual Art site? I mean somewhere you can upload anything without hassle/paying?
This creping feeling came up when uploading to a comic here, and realizing it's been more of a art gallery than a comic. So... when I later needed save something off my 2DS, I couldn't bring myself to do it as it feels reversed hypocritical(?) to actually post unfinished art there for editing later... (this is as opposed to actually posting finished ideas I intend to do, so I'll have something go off of in the future.) I have no idea why it feels wrong, especially since it IS technically a wordless comic...
I really want to upload somewhere else, as it's FOR somewhere else... uploading here (no matter how casual it is...) feels "sneaky"(?) since it's not intended for the site.
So, would you help me find another place? ...or should I stop being stupid and just post it here?
You're not stupid.
Do you like twitter? Very casual, not actually very good for hosting art but easy enough to use
DA as well but someone else should advise you on that
Oh also instagram but... I dunno just sign up to a bunch of free things and see what you like?
If you just need something to host an image temporarily, mixtape.moe works fine, and their rules are "as long as it's not illegal we don't give a shit". I think they drop files after a few months though. If you're just posting something to a forum it's fine but don't use it if you're like building a website or something.
Imgur is also a pretty good site for image hosting, although I think they recompress images which isn't what you want if you're using it to transfer art between systems for further editing.
And there's Google Drive, which I'm pretty sure lets you upload files from a web interface. That might be your best option if you need "a place where files can be accessed from multiple systems".
DevArt is probably the biggest art platform, and you can be any type of artist (tradi, digital, scuplt, jewelry) and any level (some of the others have style requirements). The social end of things is sort of touch and go, I've made some good friends there, but there are also huge drama queens and people who will get all butthurt over nothing (but you can block up to 500 people who are shitty). There is a free option that is pretty decent, you have galleries and folders you can arrange and a blog, if you actually want to cough up money you can get more customizing options but they are pretty superfluous (someone gifted me a membership some years ago and there wasn't a whole lot of difference) You can't post literal porn, but sexy pinups are fine, nudity is fine (just flag as Mature)
I don't think posting random drawings or WIPs or whatever else counts as misuse of CF, as long as you don't, like, pretend it's a serious comic. Nobody really cares what you use the archive system for as long as it isn't illegal. There are text-based comics here, and probably wilder things.
What I'm trying to say is, you can totally create a pic dump comic and check the "hide from CF" setting, and you'll be the only person to access it. I got one of these, although I mostly use it for fanart and other things I need to post on the forum.
of course, you can also follow the other suggestions in this thread. they're pretty good.
Thanks, Ironically I use some of these suggestions, but they KINDA work on 2DS, meaning I'm not sure if it's browser can handle everything. But I'll try anyway, to tell you the truth: I'll be pleasantly surprised when something works, since the Browser for 2DS is kinda old (according to lots of sites...).
I have no idea why posting a comic here, to post somewhere else feels "bad", but your suggestions will help my strange problem... even though I understand posting it here should be perfectly fine...

Sounded good for throwaway use; but when I visited their front page, I found that I really dislike their attitude:
For posting/showcasing art specially, I still use DeviantART, though I'm using it purely as a gallery; not as a social platform.
P.S. You can post it at Comic Fury too, just make it clear on the "comic" description, but beware that Comic Fury does not provide size-reduced view (DeviantART does). If your masterpieces are posted in a reaaaalllly high resolution (4+ MP), they can take very long to load, and they may also bust your visitors' browser in the process.
yeah yikes, some real edgy programmers over there. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who still bothers with <noscript> tags for graceful degradation, I mean browsing the web with noscript set to not allow script by default, so many websites are just straight up blank pages without it these days. Especially when it's like a news site where the only thing it has to do is display text and images, it feels a little bit backwards. not even just in terms of security, but also reliability and speed. So many sites are so laggy when they really don't need to be
e: oh yeah and in terms of posting non-comics here, it's totally fine as long as it's all legal and the usual stuff and obviously don't go overboard with it in terms of bandwidth abuse, and like others have said, if you're worried about annoying people, just check the "hide from comicfury" box in your webcomic settings
