Thanks to Netflix, I have been able to give this show a shot, and it's pretty charming! Most of the movies they riff on have the biggest flaw of being boooooooring, but then there are some that just seem to be missing ONE thing (or two, or three) that stops them from being 'good'. With that in mind, what are some of your favourite movies that you like despite their flaws in this show?

I've mostly just watched the newest two seasons, but the episodes I've seen of the older ones seem pretty entertaining as well! For my list so far, I've got:

-Ator, the Fighting Eagle: This movie is delightfully dumb, but as a sucker for sword-and-sorcery stories, I can't help but find it entertaining. The riffs just add to the overall experience!
-The Beast of Hollow Mountain: Nothing like a beast movie that doesn't have a beast in it until over the halfway point! I actually got somewhat caught up in the cheesy interpersonal drama before I realized the movie was doing everything it could to avoid its main plot
-Killer Fish: This would have been a better movie without the fish, tbh. It's so funny to see the movie go from kind of interesting to 'oh yeah, this is called "Killer fish"' in the span of 10 long drawn out seconds of a guy getting eaten by piranhas
-Eegah: It's just. So weird. It has enough semi-interesting tropes to keep me engaged, but then him showing up at a house party with a swimming pool, I just... I'm sorry, Eegah.

I know there are some other fans of this show lurking around here! I want to learn which episodes to look out for :D With a show like this, there are bound to be a million favourites!

Obviously given my user name, I HAVE to contribute to this. XD

In no particular order...

Werewolf (Werewolf? I don't know, you had him last!)

Future War (A man was snapped at by a force-perspective puppet today.)

Puma Man (Puma Man, he flies like a moron!)

Cave Dwellers (I'm HUGE!)

Hobgoblins (Paint my muscle car PRUNE colored, please.)

Prince of Space (Your guns are useless, but scare the crap out of me.)

Hercules Against The Moon Men (Deep Hurting! DEEEEEEEP Hurting!!)

Eegah (Watch out for snakes!)

Mitchell (Who’s the puffy guy who’s a big blurry sex machine?" "Mitchell!" "That Mitchell is one fat-" "Shut yo’ mouth!" "Just talkin’ bout Mitchell.)

The Final Sacrifice (Rowsdowermobile away! And together they fought crime throughout southwestern Alberta!)

THANKS, GUYS!! Clearly I have some more episodes to search out! Weirdly enough, Netflix doesn't seem to have all the episodes, so here's hoping they've got at least some of these gems.

Netflix might not have it but Cave Dwellers has a special place in my heart. ("It's not a comic it's a GRAPHIC NOVEL!")

They're all over the internet, very much in the spirit of "Keep Circulating the Tapes". Keep looking, you'll find 'em.

"Time Chasers" is one of the funniest pieces of trash they've ever riffed on. The "hero" of the story is a milquetoast, nerdy guy who does tech stuff or something. Then he builds a time machine out of an airplane and goes to THE DISTANT FOOTURE. Then the timeline gets messed up and it's all dystopian n whatnot, except this movie is so low-budget that all you see of the broken future world is a trash-filled alley and an abandoned parking garage. It's gloriously stupid.

Also see if you can get ahold of "Jack Frost." It's a completely insane Russian movie that has a lot of references to Russian folktales in it, including Baba Yaga. It's cheesy and weird as hell, but it's got some honest-to-God beautiful visuals. They knocked the riffing out of the park with this one.

forgot one thing.

SOUL TAKER
featuring Robert Z'Dar, the guy with the hugest jaw you will ever see in your life

The "educational" shorts are hilarious, too. "Grasses At Your Fingertips" is just...
Oh. My. God.
It's technically not MST3K, it's Rifftrax, but the quality is the same. I was crying laughing at it.

Also can't forget the holiday 'classics' such as Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (Santa Claus, you seem to have a nasty habit of surviving) and Santa Claus (What is this, 'Home Alone 3: The Quickening'?)!

I don’t have Netflix, but, back when they were on regular TV, I loved that show. I’m glad that they’ve continued, because I loved their gags, making fun of their “C” movies, especially the low-budget science fiction movies.

My favorite movie (back in the day) was with the Japanese movie “Prince of Space” (I believe). The villain, Phantom, had a big nose and sounded (or was dubbed) with a grumbly voice. Think of Danny DeVito as the Penguin. MST3K had an actor that was a dead ringer for that character on the show.
