So, I really don't like to revel in my own achievements, as I'm fearful of inflating my head full of hot air and such... But as of today, with volume ten being uploaded completely, Coward of Valor has surpassed one thousand pages, and I couldn't help but celebrate what feels like a milestone for my weird ass comic series.
On top of that in two days I'll have been writing this world for three years now! Three years. That's probably the longest I've ever gone devoted to anything in my life and I won't lie, I've got some emotions stirring up because of it. This comic (or graphic novel, whatever you wanna call it) has been a major part of me throughout my adult life thus far, it's even changed me for the better in some small minute ways.
Before CoV, I wouldn't even consider sharing anything I do to anyone but close friends and family members, much less an entire community of interfolk. I've been nervous, I've been super critical and deprecating of my own work, and I've had doubts if anyone really cared. But, I've found myself being hindered by all of that less and less as I just kept going anyways.
So I would like to thank everyone who actually reads this shit. It can't be easy with how unappealing my ink-scratch artstyle looks, and how groan-inducing the dialogue can be at times. But it really does mean the world to me that you enjoy it, and it inspires me to keep going.
And thank all of you further for making me feel like I have a place in this big scary world, scribbling on computer paper along with a community of like-minded scribblers. Not just the people here on comic-fury either, but everywhere I can be caught bothering you with my comic. Thank you.
And... I think I'm done indulging myself. I'm gonna go deflate my massive balloon head now, so to the rest of you, have yourselves a wonderful evening.
