HO HO HO or applicable holiday-themed greeting! I am announcing the ComicFury Secret Santa Exchange!.
This holiday season, we're doing things a bit simpler and making greeting card-style art (thanks to David A. Webcomic for that suggestion) for our exchange partner. You don't even have to include your character in the art! You can if you want to, of course. Do as much as you want, but all you need to do is one piece of art for your partner.
When you sign up, include:
-Your comic (of course)
-Your tags and any tags you're not okay with
-Any comics you've recently done
-Whatever winter holiday your characters celebrate
Some more stuff:
1. Please keep things respectful and SFW, though the latter is rather fluid.
2. Sign-ups close at midnight on November 21st. Assignments will be sent out as close to that date as possible.
3. When you're done with your piece, send it my way! Pieces are due December 19th to give back-ups a chance to make theirs, should that be needed.
4. You can sign up with two comics.
5. It's highly preferable that you have at least one story done or twentyish pages so your exchange partner can have a decent idea of what to do for you. This is not, however, a requirement.
If you'd like to participate in the cover, send an image of your characters (up to three) with transparent or solid backgrounds. If anyone would like to draw the background for the cover, please let me know. These are also due December 19th.
I've never participated in any exchange before, when you say "You don't even have to include your character in the art!" is that because usually they're crossovers? And this is probably an even dumber question but do you have any more details (or examples) of what you mean by greeting card-style art? Like a drawing of their character with "Happy Holidays" in text kind of thing, or something more specific?

Yeah, usually when we do anything the crossover element is required but not this time.
And yeah, just something like that would be fine. Just something fitting that aesthetic.
I'm signing up with LECTRO! Yellow violence and language. And I'd rather avoid comics that have heavy sex and nudity.
My previous exchange assignments for LECTRO include DAVID: A Webcomic, Kaza's Mate Gwenna, Deer Me, Jathemon, Tangentville, Pegasus Project, Tsokaka/Noipan!, and The Adventures of Sir Power (at least, going back to 2020's Christmas Exchange).
EDIT, About everyone in the cast celebrates Christmas, Neypalm also celebrates Hanukkah
Seasons greasons! It's been years since I've done a secret santa, so fuck it, why not?
My comic is Pale Rider, and my tags are yellow V and red L.
I'd prefer not to get any suggestive art.
I have not worked with any comics before.
Generic winter fun or Christmas is fine for all characters. Not all characters are Christian, but they're all fine with celebrating it in the more secular sense.
My comic is Charismata, it's got a yellow N/V and a red L flag. (The N flag is just for artistic nudity like in tarot cards, if that makes a difference to anybody) I'm fine with all flags except red S.
As a note for whoever gets mine, the comic has just started but there's a completed prologue so I don't mind if my Santa would rather do something with the prologue characters instead of the main ones
Oh and my characters celebrate the ~winter solstice~ LOL (but any sort of generic winter thing is fine. lmao)
Your comic : Stardust and Roses
Your tags and any tags you're not okay with : Red/Yellow N or S
Any comics you've recently done : Fantomah , The Strangest Coven
Whatever winter holiday your characters celebrate : Christmas idk lol
My comic is Invincea and the Warriors from Hell, there is standard fantasy cartoon violence with the blood and the swords and whatnot and some mild bad language in it (Yellow V/L).
There's no real official Winter Holiday in the setting so ordinary Christmas is just fine!
Haven't done an exchange in something like 8 years and I don't believe any of those comics are still active. I'm fine with any tags, but would prefer no outright porn comics, and likewise would prefer not to receive anything too racy since I like to share art.
I'll sign up with Almighty Protectors. Its tags are nudity (censored--I'll try to include pages even more censored soon, which may be enough to negate the tag entirely, but for caution assume the tag applies) and possibly language (sometimes the villains might curse).
December holidays my characters celebrate:
Arianna - Yule
B.A.D. - Christmas (more secular, though she is Christian and wouldn't be averse to some of the religious trappings)
Mineral and Multiblades - Christmas (much more religious, stemming from their Catholic faith and upbringing)
Flame Thrower and Rearranger - Hanukkah
Pinball - whatever the others around are celebrating
Oh it's been ages since I've done a comic-site secret santa yessss please
Comic: Shinka: The Last Eevee
Flags: None; would prefer nothing with nudity or sexual content
Holiday: general winter solstice stuff-- if you're into pokemon, stuff alluding to Articuno would be appropriate
EDIT-- (I keep character refs on toyhouse here for convenience lol)
EDIT 2-- I'm fine with drawing humans, animals, dragons, and other creatures!
My tags are yellow N, S, & L. Rating typically fluctuates between PG and PG-13 but sometimes a few R-rated instances crop up.
I'm good with all tags.
Small Suggestion: Tangentville has a huge archive. If you've never read it, I recommend going to the Characters page, finding a character that appeals to you, and start reading from that character's First Appearance hyperlink.
