I started Monstercember early
And if you don't know what that is, last year I decided to draw a monster for every day in December, and made a topic to ask for ideas, but then I just petered out in early November and went nowhere. In shame, I made a list of 31 monsters for THIS year, and I plan on drawing all 31.
Anyways one of the requests I got that stuck with me (and whom the requester hasn't sullied their name) was Frankenstein's Mobster, from The Amazing Chris Godbey. The pun is just... stuck in my head

I'm messing around with Krita, which came with this Ubuntu flavor. I'm honestly kind of surprised that this computer recognized my old ass Intuos3 tablet.
Edit: Something I (briefly) made in Inkscape. Just getting my feet wet before I make something for real.

Installed SAI on my laptop and had to search for some good brushes again since I haven't saved the brushes from my PC anywhere.
Found some interesting ones so I just drew something. I used a reference from pinterest but moreso to get shadows and stuff.
Not really happy with it, but it was a fun process at least!

As always I'm way more satisfied with the sketch, it was also closer to the reference, but meh, whatever!

Messing around with both Krita and Inkscape tonight. Started with a sketch of my character Mischa in Krita.
Then I "inked" her in Inkscape and went back to Krita for the background.
I wonder if there is an equivalent to the "Live Paint" tool in Inkscape (or at least a method to replicate it). It would make it a lot easier to make the shading/highlights.
