This comic's more plot progression than comedy. I'm disappointed in myself as a webcomic writer.

TRANSCRIPT
Ash: I'll even take the gloves off.
sfx: PLOP. (The gloves and string hit the ground.)
Ash: Now does he like me?
GM: Nope.
sfx: PIKA. (Pikachu turns away from Ash.)
GM: But you do hear a rustling in the bushes.
Ash: I look in the direction of the sound.
sfx: PIDGE! (A Pidgey is hopping through the field.)
GM: You see a Pidgey.
Ash: Pidgey, huh?
Ash: What's the Index got to say about it?
Pokémon Index (GM): Pidgeys are a weak bird-like Pokémon. They are very calm and kind, and a good first catch for new trainers.
Ash: Awesome! Okay, Pikachu, I need you to-
Ash: No! No! Put the strobe light away!
Ash: If I take anymore non-lethal I'll pass out.
GM: Fine. Pikachu runs up a tree.
sfx: PI-KAAAAAAA. (Pikachu yawns.)
Ash: You know what? Fine. FINE! I'll catch this Pidgey WITHOUT Pikachu. Then I'll have a KIND partner.
Kevin: This should be interesting.
